Why Children?

Recently, a UN record declared that extra than 1/2 of the nation’s populace is below the age of 25, accounting for extra than six hundred million humans. This report caught India’s attention and realised that a major segment of its people consists of children and youth and the new world is right at the corner. However, the true potential of the children can be tapped only if we were able to provide them an environment where their physical, emotional and intellectual development can take place in a meaningful manner.

Good education, training in income-generating activities, nutritional and health support, mental and physical security are some examples of nourishment which every child needs. The unfortunate reality is that many of our children spend their childhoods in poverty. Many of them will never be able to attend school. This implies that they, as well as the country as a whole, may face a grim future. As a result, it is critical that we handle this issue with greater care and attention. So, to start with we need to find out the flaws of our education system, children’s needs and issues and why most of the children drop out or don’t attend school.

There are some notable issues that prevail in the society:

The Gender Bias: When it comes to sending their girl children to school, our primarily patriarchal society still has reservations. We still have a long way to go, despite the fact that our societal framework has gradually become more accommodating to girl rights.

The Boring, Uninteresting Teaching Methods: Children learn best when they are taught in a way that captures their interest. The traditional method of delivering knowledge, which has emphasized theory over practice, may not always ignite a child's enthusiasm in learning. Children may get disengaged from their studies as a result of the directive teaching technique, increasing their chances of dropping out early. The necessity of the hour is to engage children in the quest of education. This is simple to do by taking a more interactive and fun approach to educate them. This will help to keep the kids engaged in the learning process.
